Again on the advice of the then Support Weapons Wing, Netheravon, we are proud of this entirely new concept in mapcases. The Netheravon Infanteer is made to fit the map pocket in the Combat Kit trouser leg. It incorporates a DPM backed mapcase and small folder which has leaves to hold SO Issue notebooks. When folded, the front cover has a pen pocket and the rear cover a notebook pocket. It has been designed in such a way that either the mapcase, or folder, can be effectively used independently. For quick notes we have added a wipe clean note board which is easily available in an emergency.
The Infanteer measures:15 x 21cms folded; 56 x 21cms opened with a 55 x 41cms mapcase.

Foxhound Mapcases
(DPM)

Black Horse Foxhound Mapcases, specially designed for the Infantry role, have been used worldwide under rigorous conditions. The special UVS material gives as clear a non-scratch, non-temperature sensitive surface as is possible with a plastic finish. This is backed with waterproof material in Disruptive Pattern and has a long zip for easy map insertion. Two outer pockets and an infantry hook are fitted for convenience.

We make these mapcases in three sizes:

Small: (Catalogue Ref. FMCS)33 x 22cms folded; 66 x 50cms opened

Medium:(Catalogue Ref. FMCM) 34 x 23cms folded; 100 x 65cms opened

Large:(Catalogue Ref. FMCL) 35 x 26cms folded; 100 x 130cms opened.

Clear Mapcase Type 'A'

We have been making the Black Horse Clear Mapcase Type 'A' for over 29 years in a strong UVS Material that withstands extreme temperatures. Chinagraph and water based lumocolour can be used on the mapcases. They are fitted with a long zip for easy map insertion. They have three hanging loops for display purposes and are made in the following sizes.

Small:(Catalogue Ref. MCAS) 65 x 50cms

Medium:(Catalogue Ref. MCAM) 100 x 65cms

Large:(Catalogue Ref. MCAL) 100 x 130cms

‘Armie’
Steet-Plan Map Case

(Catalogue Ref. ARMIE)


This is designed to fit the butt of a SLR, or the forearm, using an easily adjustable Velcro fastening strap. It has a light waterproof cover to stop light reflection when not in use, and a UVS pocket is provided to hold identity cards or other necessary papers.

‘Leggie’
Drivers’ Memo Case

The drivers’ Memo Case is specifically designed for use by drivers. It has two clear UVS pockets which can hold memo pad, grid references, call signs etc. The case fits on the leg above the knee with two elasticated Velcro fastenings, and is easy to put on and take off. A further Velcro fastener ensures that the contents stay secure.

Mapcase
Ramblers

 

(Catalogue Ref. MCR)

This neat general purpose mapcase is made specifically for ramblers. It is made from a strong UVS material bound with non-rot binding. Chinagraph and water based lumocolour pen markings can be easily erased. The mapcase is fitted with a zip for easy map insertion and has a long cord for wearing around the neck. It measures: 33 x 26cms and is double sided which maximizes on the map area without becoming too bulky.

Patrol Mapcase

The A4 DPM backed Patrol Mapcase was originally designed for use in N.I. However it has proved to have universal appeal.

Patrol Leaders Mapcase

The Patrol Leaders Mapcase has the addition of 2 pockets on the DPM side. It has been designed to fold in half with a Velcro closure
